Union Day marks the historic event of December 2, 1971, when a significant union was forged under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the esteemed founding father of the UAE. This pivotal moment united seven emirates into a single entity.

The term ‘Union’ symbolizes the shared vision and collective approach adopted by the people of the UAE in shaping a prosperous future, echoing the values upheld by Sheikh Zayed and his fellow rulers of the Emirates.
