Toyota Pakistan aka Indus Motor Company (IMC) has announced the launch date of the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) along with complete details, including the price, features, and specifications. According to the company’s circular, there are going to be two variants of the vehicle – Toyota Corolla Cross HEV X (High-Grade) and Toyota Corolla Cross HEV Base (Mid-Grade).
Both variants of the Corolla Cross Hybrid carry the same performance with a 1.8L 2ZR-FXE hybrid engine that is capable of producing 196 horsepower (hp) and 188 Newton-meter (Nm) of torque when combined with the electric motor. However, there are difference between both variants when it comes to other features.

Difference Explained
In terms of exterior features, the Toyota Corolla Cross X High Grade (HI) offers advanced functionalities such as the Auto Rain Sensor with Windshield Wiper Control, providing convenience in varying weather conditions. Additionally, it comes equipped with a stylish Black Roof Rail for added exterior appeal. The High Grade variant also boasts a Powered Luggage Carrier with a Kick Sensor, enhancing the ease of use. In contrast, the Corolla Cross Base Mid Grade (MI) lacks the Auto Rain Sensor and Roof Rail and features only an Electric Lock for the luggage carrier.
Moving to the interior, the Corolla Cross X High Grade stands out with its Electrochromic Rearview Mirror, capable of automatically adjusting brightness based on the volume of light from approaching vehicles. Furthermore, the High Grade variant offers Illumination in various areas, including the Glove Box, Cup Holder, and more, adding a touch of sophistication to the interior ambiance. It is also equipped with a larger 7-inch Colored Multi Info Display (MID) and a 9-inch Infotainment System, providing a more enhanced and immersive driving experience. The inclusion of a Moonroof adds an extra element of openness and luxury. The Powered Front Seat Slide and Recline feature in the High Grade variant offers additional comfort, with the driver’s seat being powered and the passenger’s seat having manual adjustments. The Rear Armrest Material is made of PVC and is equipped with a slide function.
On the other hand, the Corolla Cross Base Mid Grade features a Day/Night Rearview Mirror and lacks the Illumination features found in the High Grade variant.
