McDonald’s CEO Confirms Business is Negatively Impacted Due to Gaza War

McDonald’s Corporation President and CEO, Chris Kempczinski has made recent comments on how the the company business has been impacted due to Gaza War. Turning to LinkedIn, Kempczinski addressed the problems affecting McDonald’s, especially in some Middle Eastern markets.

He stated, the challenges are related to war stories that have developed along with misinformation concerning the brand itself.

However, this controversy arose when it was reported that McDonald’s outlets in Israel had donated meals to IDF soldiers during the Gaza war, causing widespread outrage amongst people, who demanded for boycott of such famous fast-food chains for supporting Israel.

He stressed the fact is that McDonald’s is run by local owners who are involved in their communities. Kempczinski clarified that despite such challenges posed by external events which affect the operations of the company, it will continue to be a responsible and inclusive entity.

The situation in Gaza continues to be grim; the health ministry has reported a death count of 22,438 am obviously nearing 1% from their population size which is estimated at about 2.3 million people.
