Xiaomi 14 Ultra Rumored to Have an Under-Display Camera

Xiaomi may be adding the Xiaomi 14 Ultra to its device portfolio together with the global unveiling of the Xiaomi 14 series. According to recent reports by GSMChina, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra may sport an under-display camera with one variant, while another one will be equipped with a regular front‐facing camera.

The code name of the standard version camera is “aurora” and “aurorapro” and the variant with the under-display camera is codenamed “Xiaomi Suiren”. Moreover, a device named “Xiaomi Suiren” was spotted on Geekbench records that carries Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

This contradicts the initial assumption that it could be the Xiaomi Mix 5 with recent reports now suggesting that its the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The phone earned 2336 and 6837 points in single-core and multi-core testing on Geekbench.

Leaks indicate that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will offer a varied camera configuration, sporting a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens, a 50MP periscope lens and an ultra-wide 50 MP module, taking the total number of cameras to four.

However, speculations state the Xiaomi 14 Ultra may have an upgraded titanium frame instead of the aluminum frame from Xiaomi 14 Pro. Further rumors claim two-way satellite connectivity and a 5180mAh battery with support for 90W wired as well as 50W wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is expected to launch alongside the Xiaomi Pad 7 series in April of 2024, providing users with a highly advanced and feature-rich smartphone device.
