Islamabad Directs Hospitals to Ensure Functioning Emergency Services

Islamabad District Health Officer, Dr. Muhammad Zaeem Zia, has directed all public and private sector hospitals within the jurisdiction of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) to ensure that all emergency services are available during and after polling timings on February 8.

The development comes after multiple blasts were reported in Balochistan that killed several people just a day before Pakistan’s General Elections 2024. Meanwhile, a blast occurred at Karachi’s Patel Hospital that took the life of one person and injured a minor girl.

It is pertinent to mention that polling shall commence tomorrow from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and it is recommended that citizens arrive at their designated polling stations as early as possible to avoid long queues and cast their vote in a timely manner.
