Former federal minister and independent candidate Daniyal Aziz faced arrest in National Assembly Constituency NA-75, as confirmed by his wife, Mahnaz Akbar Aziz. She reported that a substantial police force apprehended Daniyal Aziz from Shakargh.
Accusing authorities of subjecting Daniyal Aziz to severe mistreatment, his wife claimed that he was forcefully taken into custody, with allegations implicating Ahsan Iqbal in his arrest.

Earlier, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued a notice to Daniyal Aziz Choudhry, addressing his violations of the code of conduct as an independent candidate in National Assembly Constituency NA-75 Narowal. The Election Commission scheduled a hearing for the case on February 10, stating that Daniyal Aziz’s notification, in the event of election success, would be contingent upon the commission’s decision.
The District Monitoring Officer (DMO) report highlighted Daniyal Aziz’s repeated breaches of the code of conduct, noting his habitual non-compliance with notices and failure to appear as requested.
