Director General Dawoud Al Hajri highlighted the importance of the Creek for Dubai’s economic and social prosperity and emphasized the municipality’s commitment to upgrading coastal infrastructure to bolster tourism and commerce. The project aims to mitigate climate change risks and rising sea levels, employing construction designs adhering to global standards.

The 14-month timeline involves repairing damaged sections of the concrete wall, enhancing its height and depth to ensure safer ship docking. Despite Dubai’s extensive development, the Creek retains its historical, commercial, and economic significance, serving as a vital maritime channel and a key tourist attraction. The project underscores Dubai’s efforts to balance modernization with the preservation of its heritage and economic vitality.
