The upcoming chip, codenamed SM7675, will feature a Cortex-X4 prime core clocked at 2.9GHz, surpassing its predecessor. This boost indicates Qualcomm’s commitment to pushing mid-range boundaries. Its architecture, resembling the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, includes a “1+4+3” core setup, with four A720 middle cores running at 2.6GHz and three A520 efficient cores at 1.9GHz. Equipped with an Adreno 732 GPU, it promises enhanced graphics performance.

Aligning with rumors, the OnePlus Ace 3V is expected to debut with the SM7675 chip, showcasing its power. The phone boasts impressive specs like a flat OLED 1.5K 8T LTPO display with 120Hz refresh rate, 16GB RAM, a 5500mAh battery, and 100W fast charging, making it competitive in the mid-range market.

Comparatively, last year’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 fell short in power compared to its predecessor, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. The latter featured a different architecture with a high-performance Cortex-X2 core. The leak hints at another chip, SM8635, possibly a frequency variant of SM7675, offering more options for manufacturers. Expected to launch in March 2024, both chips inherit the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 architecture, expanding choices for devices.
