A family traveling home from the airport was robbed by fake police officers in Lahore on Wednesday. Nadeem, from Nishtar Colony, picked up his family at the airport. While driving home, their car was stopped on the Ring Road by a group of people dressed like police.
The fake officers tricked the family and stole their money, jewelry, and other valuables. The shaken family reported the crime, and police are now looking for the robbers.
This is a scary reminder to be careful when someone says they are a police officer. Always check their ID to make sure they are real. If you’re not sure, call the police station yourself. The police are asking anyone with information about the crime to call them or use an anonymous tip line.
