Islamabad Traffic Plan for Pakistan Day Parade on March 23

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic plan for the Pakistan Day Parade (aka 23rd March Parade). As part of the traffic plan, the entry of heavy vehicles to the federal capital has been banned at certain times of the day until the parade.

According to the details, heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter Islamabad from 12:00 pm to 2:00 am until March 23, 2024. Moreover, the Islamabad Traffic Police has announced a traffic plan with alternative routes for traffic coming from Lahore to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.

The department’s spokesperson said that vehicles coming from Lahore will be directed to travel from Rawalpindi Saddar Road to Peshawar GT Road and the Motorway. Meanwhile, all traffic from Koral Chowk and Rawalpindi will be diverted towards Islamabad via Khanna Bridge, Lehtrar Road, and Park Road.

Furthermore, the National Motorway and Highway Police (NMHP) has set up an alternative route for traffic to turn from Kashmir Chowk to Barakahu and Murree. Additionally, Faizabad will remain closed for all types of vehicles for the 23rd March parade.
