In a tragic incident, a 12-year-old minor girl was allegedly raped in Islamabad’s F-9 park, and the incident has sparked outrage on social media.
According to the details, the Islamabad Police has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) and arrested a suspect, the brother of the victim’s friend.
The FIR stated that the 12-year-old, who lived in Islamabad’s F-11 sector, went out to play with her friends and on the evening of March 16.
The minor girl came home crying around 11:00 pm and told the family that her friend’s brother took her to Islamabad’s F-9 and raped her.
The FIR was lodged on the complaint of the minor victim’s mother and the police is investigating the incident, which includes a medical examination of the victim.
This isn’t the first rape incident in Islamabad, as a girl was gang-raped within the jurisdiction of the Shalimar Police Station in January this year.
