KP Govt to Introduce Free WiFi in Peshawar Parks

PESHAWAR: In a move aimed at enhancing public amenities, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced plans to provide free WiFi services in public parks across Peshawar.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur chaired a meeting focused on the beautification initiatives for the provincial capital. During the session, CM Gandapur instructed relevant authorities to finalize arrangements for the provision of free WiFi and present the plan for approval by the provincial government.

Highlighting the importance of extending such services, CM Gandapur revealed intentions to expand the initiative to other cities in subsequent phases. Additionally, the Chief Minister directed the Peshawar Development Authority to draft a comprehensive beautification plan for the city.

In a bid to improve transportation infrastructure, the meeting also endorsed the launch of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service on Nasir Bagh Road within the provincial capital. CM Gandapur emphasized the conversion of streetlights to solar power and advocated for the construction of underpasses over overhead bridges.

Further directives included immediate action on the completion of the remaining section of Warsak-Nasir Bagh Road, along with repair works on roads surrounding the BRT Corridor at University Road.

The Chief Minister underscored the embellishment of pathways with artificial plants, as well as the adornment of walls and bridges with culturally significant designs to promote the heritage of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

To realize these objectives, the KP Chief Minister urged collaboration with private organizations. This multi-faceted approach aims to improve public spaces and infrastructure for the benefit of citizens across the province.

Hello! My name is Farhan Abro, and I'm based here in Islamabad. My journey in Pakistan's digital media really kicked off when I founded INCPak back in 2012. We built it from the ground up, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, to be a trusted voice for independent journalism. But while media is a big part of who I am, I'm also shaped by a fascinating mix of other passions. I'm deeply into automotive, which gives me a technical edge, but I also find my artistic expression through landscape photography and music. And I'm always diving into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence. Bringing all these different worlds together the technical, the creative, the journalistic, and the entrepreneurial—it really colors how I see things and approach every project. It gives me a distinct perspective that I try to bring to everything I share
