The Sindh government has made a significant decision regarding the names of four districts within the Karachi Division.
According to the details, the Karachi West District will undergo a name change to become Orangi District, aligning with a focus on localized naming.
Similarly, the name of Karachi Central District will transition to Nazimabad District, a change anticipated to be well-received by locals.
Continuing this pattern, Karachi East District will be renamed Gulshan District, and Karachi South District will be simplified to Karachi District.
While these adjustments are underway, authorities have opted to keep the names of Malir District, Korangi District, and Kemari District unchanged, maintaining continuity in those areas.
