The Punjab government declared a nine Eid ul Fitr holidays Daanish schools starting from April 6, 2024. A notice issued on Saturday said that Daanish Schools in the province will remain closed from April 6 to April 14.
Normally, Eid holidays start a day earlier than expected to give people enough time for preparation and join in the celebrations.
The government is mulling to announce a four Eid ul Fitr holidays from April 9 (Tuesday) to April 12 (Friday) for government and some private offices, and the regular weekend holidays on Saturday and Sunday will take the total number of holidays to six.
However, the final decision about the holiday schedule depends on discussions with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) and other relevant authorities.
