Brutal Killings on Nushki Highway in Balochistan

Eleven people were killed, and several others injured, in two separate shooting incidents on the National Highway in Nushki district, Balochistan, reported ARY News on Saturday.

The attackers reportedly blocked the highway near the Sultan incline and forced a bus traveling to Taftan to stop. Nine passengers were abducted from the bus, and their bodies were later found under a bridge. The victims were identified as residents of Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, and Wazirabad districts in Punjab.

In a separate incident, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a car that failed to stop at a checkpoint. The car overturned after the attack, killing two passengers and injuring three others. The car belonged to the brother of a local politician, who was also among the injured.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the violence and demanded a report from officials. He expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and vowed to bring the perpetrators and their accomplices to justice. The Prime Minister also pledged to eliminate the threat of terrorism in the country.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti also condemned the attacks and vowed to take action against terrorism in the province.

Farhan Abro

Hello! My name is Farhan Abro, and I'm based here in Islamabad. My journey in Pakistan's digital media really kicked off when I founded INCPak back in 2012. We built it from the ground up, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, to be a trusted voice for independent journalism. But while media is a big part of who I am, I'm also shaped by a fascinating mix of other passions. I'm deeply into automotive, which gives me a technical edge, but I also find my artistic expression through landscape photography and music. And I'm always diving into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence. Bringing all these different worlds together the technical, the creative, the journalistic, and the entrepreneurial—it really colors how I see things and approach every project. It gives me a distinct perspective that I try to bring to everything I share
