The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced new school timings for all educational institutes under its authority, starting May 20, 2024, until further notice.
For single-shift schools, the hours will be 7:30 am to 1:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, and 7:30 am to 12:00 pm on Friday.
For double-shift schools, the morning shift will be from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and 7:30 am to 12:00 pm on Friday. The evening shift will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday.
For Pre-I (Montessori/Prep) classes, the hours will be 7:30 am to 11:30 am from Monday to Friday. Ex-FG Colleges will operate from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm or 4:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm on Friday.
This change is due to the expected heatwave in the coming week.
