Following Punjab, the Government of Sindh has also announced summer vacation for schools starting June 1, 2024, until July 31, 2024. According to the details, a notification has been issued by the Sindh Education and Literacy Department (SELD).
“In pursuance of decisions taken in the steering committee meeting, all public and private institutions under the administrative control of the School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, shall remain closed from 01-06-2024 to 31-07-2024 as summer vacation,” read the notification.
Unlike Punjab, the Government of Sindh has decided against early summer vacations due to rising temperatures and heatwave-like conditions across the province, especially Karachi. Therefore, the summer break will commence on June 1, 2024.

Summer vacations in Karachi will begin on June 1, 2024, and end on July 31, 2024, following the same schedule as the rest of Sindh.
