WhatsApp Users in Pakistan Face Disruptions

WhatsApp users in Pakistan experienced service disruptions on Wednesday as protests unfolded nationwide. According to reports, the app’s mobile data services were severely impacted, preventing users from sending photos and voice messages. However, WhatsApp remained functional over Wi-Fi and certain local networks.

According to whatsapp users are unable to send voice and images, as for most of the Pakistanis are using VPNs for X platform, The whatsapp disruption issue started from 5 pm onwards according to downtector.pk effected cities are Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Karachi.

The disruptions have sparked frustration among users, many of whom rely on WhatsApp for daily communication. While the cause of these disruptions is not yet confirmed, users have reported difficulties specifically when using mobile data.

This incident has led to speculation about possible restrictions imposed during the protests in Punjab.
