Four Killed, 14 Injured in Terror Attack at Turkish Aerospace Industries Near Ankara

At least four people have been killed and 14 others injured in a deadly attack on the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) near Ankara. The attack, which took place on Wednesday, was confirmed by Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Erdogan, who was in Russia meeting with President Vladimir Putin at the time, condemned the incident, calling it a “heinous terrorist attack.” Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya also confirmed that “two terrorists were neutralized” during the attack, which occurred at the state-owned defense company’s site in Kahramankazan, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Ankara.

Local media footage showed massive clouds of smoke and a large fire at the scene. Witnesses reported hearing a loud explosion followed by gunfire. Security camera footage showed a man in plainclothes, carrying a backpack and holding an assault rifle, adding to the chaos.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities assess the damage and secure the area.
