ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has officially launched the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
This new agency will now serve as the primary body responsible for investigating and addressing cybercrimes nationwide.
Previously, the Cyber Crime Wing (CCW) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) handled such cases. However, as part of this restructuring, all functions, responsibilities, and ongoing cases have been transferred to the NCCIA. Consequently, the CCW FIA will no longer operate in this capacity.
To ensure public awareness and transparency, the NCCIA will share official updates, guidelines, and cybersecurity measures through its verified Facebook page:
- Facebook: @NCCIAOFFICIAL
- Helpline: 1799
Citizens are urged to follow the NCCIA for accurate information and to report cybercrimes exclusively through its official channels.
This transition aims to enhance efficiency and provide a more focused approach to combating digital threats in Pakistan.
