Pakistani forces intercepted and shot down two Indian drones in the Walton, Barki and Jallo Park areas near Lahore city.
According to official reports, the drones were identified entering Pakistani airspace near the border areas. As soon as they were spotted, security forces responded swiftly and managed to neutralize the threat. Both drones were reportedly brought down near the railway track in the surrounding regions of Barki and Jallo Park.
Witnesses at the scene described hearing the sound of gunfire as the drones were targeted. Locals quickly gathered to view the aftermath, with some capturing images and videos of the wreckage. Authorities have since taken control of the debris for further investigation.
Separately, a drone was destroyed in Diwalian area of Chakwal where no casualty or damages have been reported.
A day earlier, the Pakistan Army shot down seven Indian drones over infiltration attempts.
Security sources said the forces downed the drones in Sialkot sector, besides confiscating two others after taking their control using the modern EW capabilities.
The security forces destroyed three drones, including the armored drone Heron, in Barnala, Shakargarh and Kotli sectors.
Meanwhile, Early Thursday morning, around 8:00 AM, Pakistani forces successfully intercepted and shot down an Indian surveillance drone in the Dharki area of Sindh.
