PTI calls off dharna after 126 days

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has welcomed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s decision to call off his protest sit-in in Islamabad.

Reacting to Imran’s announcement on Wednesday, Nawaz said that the PTI’s reservations regarding last year general elections will be addressed. He was of the opinion that Imran’s announcement will boost the morale of nation to fight war against terrorists.

Nawaz welcomes Imran’s announcement

Prime Minister Nawaz welcomed PTI chief’s announcement of call off his sit-in, a statement from the PM House read.

Nawaz said that Imran’s step would help strengthen the war against terrorism.

He vowed that Imran and PTI’s apprehensions regarding election would be addressed.

Nawaz further requested Imran Khan to return to the National Assembly and to play his role according to the wishes of the people.

It should be mentioned that the PTI chairman announced that he was calling off his sit-in in the wake of Taliban’s attack on Army Public School in Peshawar resulting in loss of 148 precious lives.
