Fake CNICs issued by NADRA to Afghanis and Bangali FIA Takes action

ISLAMABAD –  The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has asked the interior ministry for help after the National Database and Registration Authority’s (NADRA) Karachi offices refused to cooperate with investigators looking into the issuance of computerised identity cards (CNICs) and passports to thousands of foreign nationals, according to a report by local media sources.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had directed the country’s premier probe body to investigate and take action against Nadra officials who helped some 5,000 foreigners, including terrorists, obtain fake identities and other documents, it was further revealed.

The Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) named some 40 such officials, some of whom are ex-army officers serving at top posts in NADRA, to the authority’s chairman recently.

“Nadra Karachi refused to cooperate with investigators looking into the scam, so we have now sought the help of the interior ministry,” an official said.

OFF THE RECORD

NADRA is involved in issusing CNIC to Afghanis and Bangalis illegal immigrants and facilitated them with NADRA marriage certification as also helped with fake parents belonging to rural area of Pakistan. The story is not new at all, Those who been living in Karachi and know any Afghani must be knowing each Afghani illegal immigrant holds more legal documents than Pakistanis.

NADRA been practicing this since it came into form, Although it’s very hard to believe FIA and other agencies were not aware of it but be late then NEVER, finally FIA has taken action action against FAKE CNIC issued by NADRA.

Question is what about the  previous thousands of illegal Fake CNIC issued? Will FIA go in depth and point out all those who been living, doing business, having bank accounts even got the computerized marriage certificates ( Afghanis and Bangalis ) specifically ?

Meanwhile, Nadra Karachi refused to cooperate with investigators looking into scam .

But while media is a big part of who I am, I'm also shaped by a fascinating mix of other passions. I'm deeply into automotive, which gives me a technical edge, but I also find my artistic expression through landscape photography and music. And I'm always diving into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence.
