Pakistan Railways receives 202 coaches purchased from China

Pakistan Railways has received 202 coaches purchased from China with a cost of over sixteen billion rupees to improve its operations and facilitate the passengers.

Out of the 202 coaches of various types‚ Pakistan Railways has received 56 coaches in Completely Built Unit condition and these are being utilized in Karakorum Express plying between Lahore and Karachi Cantt.

A railways spokesman said 76 coaches are received in Completely Knocked Down condition and are under assembling process in Carriage Factory‚ Islamabad.

He said the remaining 70 coaches will arrive in Completely Knocked Down condition soon.
