District Government has announced that there will be a Holiday on Monday November 21 in Lahore District on the eve of Urs of Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri.
A notification was issued stating that all educational institutions and offices will remain closed in Lahore on Monday November 21. However, Civil Secretariat and all its departments will remain open as usual.
Security measures have been taken by the government and around 1,000 security CCTV cameras have been installed to monitor the urs celebrations. Walk-through gates have been placed at the entrance and exits of Darbar, Lahore and security personnel have been provided metal detectors. Also, over 2,000 police personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order during the urs celebrations.
