Supreme Court removes Nawaz Shareef from PM Office

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was disqualified as the prime minister by the Supreme Court in a unanimous verdict, on 28th july 2017, following a judicial probe under the Article 62 of the Constitution.

After the PM Nawaz’s disqualification, Pakistan has no Prime Minister (Premier) to lead this country until Nawaz Shareef appoints someone from his parliament possibly today or on monday. Supreme court decision ends Main Muhammad Nawaz Shareef’s parliamentary career forever.

A five-member bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa announced the judgment in the court room Number 1 amid complete silence.

Not only the premier has been dismissed from post, but the apex court has also ordered filing a reference in accountability court within a period of six weeks. The trial by accountability court would be concluded in a span of six months, said the judgment.
