APPLE IPHONE SE 2 Cases Already Up For Pre-Order, Renders Once Again Show iPhone X-Like Notch

Rumors of an updated iPhone SE, dubbed the iPhone SE 2 somewhat predictably, have been popping up left and right for weeks now and if recent events are anything to go by, an announcement by Apple may not be too far off.

We already knew that phone case company Olixar had a protector for the iPhone SE 2 all lined up, and now both the manufacturer and retailer MobileFun is offering cases for pre-order.

Performance Quad core
Display 4.5″ (11.43 cm)
Storage 32 GB
Camera 12 MP
Battery 1750 mAh
Ram 2 GB

Based on the case that is now available and the renders that appear to show it and the iPhone on which it will fit, it does indeed appear that the new iPhone SE 2 will look similar to the handset it will replace, but with a distinct iPhone X look to it.

That look will come from the natch atop its display and the complete lack of a Home button. This obviously raises plenty of questions about how the device will be unlocked and authenticate, and given the fact the notch on these renders is much smaller than the notch on the iPhone X it’s difficult to see how the hardware required by Face ID would be accommodated.

The FlexiShieldi Phone SE 2018 case that is now available for pre-order is offered in four different colors, all of which allow for what appears to be a glass-backed iPhone to be seen. If anything, this is the one part of the renders that makes sense to us, especially given the rumors that an iPhone SE replacement would ship with wireless charging capabilities. We’re still far from convinced about the front, though, given the Face ID concerns we just covered.

Farhan Abro

Hello! My name is Farhan Abro, and I'm based here in Islamabad. My journey in Pakistan's digital media really kicked off when I founded INCPak back in 2012. We built it from the ground up, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, to be a trusted voice for independent journalism. But while media is a big part of who I am, I'm also shaped by a fascinating mix of other passions. I'm deeply into automotive, which gives me a technical edge, but I also find my artistic expression through landscape photography and music. And I'm always diving into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence. Bringing all these different worlds together the technical, the creative, the journalistic, and the entrepreneurial—it really colors how I see things and approach every project. It gives me a distinct perspective that I try to bring to everything I share
