Lahore bound Etihad Airways flight EY-243 finally landed on Allama Iqbal International Airport, Rangers along with FIA and NAB team entered inside the plane and arrested Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.
According to reports, Nawaz and Maryam will be flown to Islamabad via a special plane due to the bad weather. It was earlier planned that they would be taken to Islamabad on a helicopter.
Nawaz and Maryam arrived in Lahore from Abu Dhabi at 8:50pm after their flight was delayed for over two hours. They had left London a day earlier.
Nawaz Sharif requested to meet mother, NAB and FIA team granted 10 minutes meeting permission.
Meanwhile President PMLN Shahbaz Sharif, other candidates or workers couldn’t reach Allama Iqbal International Airport, Punjab Government already sealed all the roads leading toward Airport earlier today.
