Social Media website Facebook appears to be down for some users this evening on september 4,2018.
Users of the popular social network are reporting issues logging in to the website or updating posts.
A message shown to users trying to access the website reads: “Facebook is down for required maintenance right now, but you should be able to get back on within a few minute.”
Facebook and Instagram users on the east coast of the US and parts of Europe are reporting that the social network is not available, according to the website Down Detector.
The social media giant has been having issues since 4:48pm EDT, according to the downdetector.com web service. Nearly 10,000 users have since reported troubles logging into their accounts or suffering a “total blackout.”
