PCB announced 16 member squad for Asia Cup

Lahore – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq announced 16 member squad for upcoming Asia Cup 2018. Captain Sarfraz Ahmed, Pakistan have named a 16-man squad for the 2018 Asia Cup set to begin in the United Arab Emirates from 15 September.

  11. Mohammad Nawaz
  12. Fahim Ashraf
  13. Hasan Ali
  14. Junaid Khan
  15. Usman Shinwari
  16. Shaheen Afridi

The 18-year-old fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has been included in the squad while opening batsman Shan Masood has also received a call-up for the six-nation tournament. Experienced cricketers Yasir Shah and Mohammad Hafeez have been left out.

The rest of the squad remains unchanged from the last ODI series Pakistan featured in, a five-match face-off against Zimbabwe.

Pakistan begin their Asia Cup campaign with a league game against the winner of the ongoing Asia Cup Qualifier on 16 September.
