KARACHI – Pakistan Peoples Party MPA Taimur Talpur shared a resolution against Kalabagh dam construction in Sindh assembly today.
Sindh, KPK, and Balochistan all three provinces have grave concerns over Kalabagh Dam construction.
The Resolution read by MPA Taimur Talpur says ” “The Assembly of Sindh expresses grave concern over the announcement about the construction of Kalabagh dam.”
“It’s a known fact that people of Sindh, irrespective of their party affiliation, have repeatedly opposed construction of Kalabagh dam on the Indus River,” it adds.
Talpur said, “Kalabagh will ruin the economy and agriculture of Sindh and the Indus Delta will vanish.”
The Kalabagh Dam is the most controversial project in the history of Pakistan, last time in Musharaf era issue was raised however Sindh, KPK and Balochistan opposed the construction.
