NEPRA approves tariff hike

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power REgulatory Authority (NEPRA) approved an increase in power tariff by .80 paisa per unit under the fuel adjustment mechanism.

NEPRA approved new tariff in Islamabad following the recent hike in fuel prices.

It is reported that the cost of electricity production has been raised by 3 billion due to increase in gas prices.

The new tariff excludes K-electric and agricultural consumers.
