Pakistan Introduces New visa policy for 48 countries

ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry has issued a notification enforcing a new visa policy for 48 countries, who will be able to avail visa-on-arrival facility in Pakistan.

According to the notification, The new visa policy came into effect from April 15, 2019.

Under the new visa policy, Pakistan has given the relaxation to the citizens of Turkey, China, Germany, Malaysia, Iran, Australia and other countries.

Meanwhile, India, United States of America (USA), United Kingdom (UK), Kingdom of Saudia Arabia (KSA) and Afghanistan were not included in the list.

The citizens of these countries will not be facilitated under the new visa policy.

The visa will be granted for a period of three months initially.

The citizens and the diplomats will be able to avail the facility.

The Diplomats and government passport holders of 31 countries can also benefit from the new visa policy.

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has developed an e-visa service which is similar to the systems in the US and UK.
