Lets Clean Karachi drive kicks off

KARACHI: The Federal Government-backed campaign to clean Karachi kicks off in various parts of the city on Sunday. Let’s Clean Karachi campaign Karachiites were longing for.

The Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi heading the campaign ‘Lets Clean Karachi’ said we need 15,000 volunteers to be part of this campaign”.

In the first phase, Nullas will be cleaned in Karachi while the garbage from all parts of the city would be lifted off in the second phase.”

There is no system for collecting garbage in the city and the residents throw garbage out because no one did any planning of the city. Zaidi added.

Zaidi hopes and expects to clean Karachi from Eid-ul-Azha.

Meanwhile, Sultan of Swing Wasim Akram tweets saying “it’s going to take more than 2 weeks to clean Karachi, but what a fantastic initiative by Ali Haider Zaidi. Karachi is home to so many, owned by few, It’s about time we put some extra love into this city and there is no better time than now #LetsCleanKHI #LoveKarachi.”
