Dense fog in Islamabad, areas of Punjab, KPK and upper Sindh

Dense fog prevailed throughout the country even Islamabad where there hasn’t been fog of this magnitude since back in 2016. According to the reports by the National Weather Forecasting Center, Islamabad:

Frost is also likely to be observed in few districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Potohar region during the period

Islamabad doesn’t usually come under dense fog but this morning visibility in Islamabad was only 50 meters with temperatures going as low as -1°C (degrees Celsius).

Based on the report from The National Weather Forecasting Center, Islamabad, weather is expected to remain cold and dry in the country with very cold areas of Punjab, upper Sindh and KPK to remain under dense fog.

Areas of Punjab also remained covered by heavy fog with Motorways being closed down.

Lowest temperatures in the country were recorded at Skardu -16°C, Astore -11°C, Gupis -09°C, Kalat, Bagrote, Kalam -07°C, Parachinar, Quetta, -05°C , Gilgit – 04°C, Dir, Bannu and Mirkhani -03°C.

This weather is likely to remain in the coming days according to National Weather Forecasting Center, Islamabad.
