LAHORE: The Federal Railways minister Sheikh Rasheed in a video message shared on a social media said Quetta-Taftan (Iranian Border) train service has been suspended on Wednesday.
The decision came after Pakistani authorities closed the border route with Iran via Taftan after the coronavirus outbreak reported from Iran which unofficially killed more than 40 people.

However, The official Iranian figures confirmed 7 people have been killed due to a deadly virus and many are infected.
According to local sources in Iran says “The Government is not openly telling the actual figures as far we know on the local media approximately 40 people expired due to the coronavirus”.
Pakistan Railways Minister, Sheikh Rasheed shared a video message after the Balochistan Government closed the Pak-Iran Border.
The Train service from Quetta to Taftan and vice versa has been suspended until further notice.
Reports of Coronavirus cases have been confirmed from Afghanistan as well there’s a possibility that Pakistani Authorities might shut down Turkham (Pak-Afghan) border in the near future.
