Saudi Arabia suspends travel between Pakistan and other countries

Saudi Arabia suspends travel for its citizens to Pakistan and several other countries and this includes entry for people coming into Saudi Arabia from these countries as well due to fear of coronavirus according to the Saudi state news agency SPA.

The countries on the list of the travel ban include European Union countries, Switzerland, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Sudan, Sri Lanka, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Eritrea, Somalia and Djibouti.

The decision has been taken after the coronavirus has infected more than 126,000 people across the world and taken over 4,600 lives with most of the cases in China where the virus originated in the Hubei province.

The travel suspension includes air as well as land traffic with Jordan however, commercial and cargo traffic is still allowed.

There is also exception for travel related to humanitarian cases and health workers from Philippines and India.

Necessary precautions are being taken for trade and shipping between Saudi Arabia and other countries.
