The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been tested positive for the coronavirus and is now under self quarantine.
PM Boris Johnson took to Twitter with a video message where he said that he had developed mild symptons and a fever over the past 24 hours before testing positive for COVID-19.
He will however continue to work from home and “lead the government’s response via video conference” in the fight against the coronavirus.

In his video on Twitter he said:
I’m working from home and self-isolating and that’s entirely the right thing to do,
But, be in no doubt that I can continue thanks to the wizardry of modern technology to communicate with all my top team to lead the national fightback against coronavirus,
I want to thank everybody involved and, of course, our amazing NHS staff.
The UK has seen more than 11,500 cases of the novel coronavirus and the number keeps rising. So far the number of deaths are 578 that have been reported.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has already confirmed that the Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will be taking over if Johnson was unable to continue working.
The Prince Whales was also confirmed to have been tested positive for the coronavirus earlier this week and according to a spokes person Prince Charles, 71, is displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health.
According to a spokesperson from the Buckingham Palace the Queen is doing well after she met with Prince Charles on 12 March.
