CORONAVIRUS: List of Completely Sealed Areas in Karachi

KARACHI: The Deputy Commissioner Central issued a notification to LEA to ensure complete lockdown in areas which include Six Union Councils (UCs) and other areas on late Sunday night.

  • Bufferzone Sector 15-A
  • Bufferzone Sector 15-B4
  • Nazimabad No.2 and 3
  • Poposh Nagar,
  • Nazimabad 5-A and 5-C.

The video footage of the area around Islamia College being sealed by the Authorities after COVID-19 positive cases detected in the area.

There are reports from South Zone, Clifton area where Government has sealed following areas,

  • Bilawal Chowrangi
  • Shireen Jinnah Colony, Hamza Chowk
  • Abdullah Shah Gazi Chowk

Earlier, Some areas in Karachi East were sealed off which includes sealing UC-6 Gillani Railways, UC-7 Dalmia, UC-8 Jamali Colony, UC-9 Gulshan-II, UC-10 Pehalwan Goth, UC-9 Jacob Line and UC – 10 Jamshaid Quarters. However, the Sindh government backed down on its decision to cordon off 11 union councils.

The Sindh Government is sealing the areas after positive cases are being detected from the above mentioned areas. The Lock down in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Dadu, Larkana and other major cities continues.
