Miniter Jhagra told the media:

We have to adapt,

For this we need to not fight amongst ourselves and tackle it together. You know the PM had a different opinion on the matter, but he still did not open transport because of provinces’ reservations,

Regarding markets and opening of shops, Jhagra said that they will operate from Monday to Friday and close at 4pm. The minister said:

The two things we are going to try out are that the closing time for shops and markets will be 4pm and they will remain shut on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. These measures might be better than a seven day leaky lockdown,

According to the Health Minister Taimur Jhagra, the death toll in the country is stable however, the number of cases will continue to rise, he said:

We see headlines everyday of greatest daily increase. Our deaths have stabilised, but do not think the rise in cases will decrease,

Our deaths have not increased more than 20pc per week, whereas data for Europe we were looking at showed increase by 20pc or 30pc daily. That trend is also being seen in India and Bangladesh.

Taimor Jhagra said that cases will will go up after easing the lockdown and nobody should think otherwise. However, deaths will hopefully decrease.
