ISLAMABAD: Ehsaas Emergency Program Category 4 has been explained in detail by the Special Assistant to Prime Minister Poverty Alleviation and Social Security Dr Sania Nishtar.

Category 4 of the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program basically involves the second phase of the program aimed at helping labourers and workers who have lost their jobs during the coronavirus lockdown. These are those applicants who have registered using the Ehsaas Labour Portal according to SAPM Dr Sania Nishtar.
Under the Ehsaas Emergency Programme these individuals are getting Rs. 12,000 financial aid that is funded by the Prime Minister’s Corona Relief Fund and SAPM Dr Sania Nishtar mentions that Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced that every for Re. 1 donated towards this initiative, the government will contribute Rs. 4.
Dr Sania Nishtar explains that the applicants applying for aid through this phase of the Ehsas Emergency Program will be reviewed in the same way as earlier categories which were explained in an earlier video.

The Government also promised complete transparency when it came to disbursement of cash under the Ehsaas Emergency Program and Dr Sania Nishtar mentions in her video that all information regarding the management and disbursement of the funds under the program is available at pass.gov.pk/ecs/uct_all.html.
Although currently there is no information available regarding the latest Category 4 for which payments are already underway starting this Monday and the information on this category will be available soon.
So far according to the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme Rs. 109,937 billion has been distributed to 8.869.579 beneficiaries identified through the 8171 SMS service.
