Coronavirus cases in Pakistan – Update [19 June 2020]

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 171,294 while the country’s death toll has reached 3,380‬. There were 6,575 more cases reported on Friday (19 June 2020) along with a total of 152 more fatalities from across the country.

Sindh reported 49 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by the Provincial Health and Population Welfare Department. This brings the provincial death toll to 1,013 while total cases in Sindh have reached 65,163.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported 16 more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 789 while total cases in the province have reached 20,790 according to their daily COVID-19 update.

PUNJAB reports 82 more fatalities in one day bringing the provincial death toll to 1,347 according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). The total coronavirus cases in the province have reached 64,216.

Balochistan reported one new fatality bringing the confirmed provincial death toll to 100 while the probable death toll has reached at 68. The number of cases in the province have reached 9,162 according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Balochistan Health Department.

Islamabad reported one new fatality according to the District Health Office Islamabad. The death toll of the capital city reaches at 95 while number of cases have reached 9,941.

The following is the distribution of cases across Islamabad.

Gilgit Baltistan reported three new fatalities according to the Daily Situation Reported issued by the GB Health Department. This brings the regional death toll to 21. Furthermore, the total positive cases in the region have reached 1,253.

No new fatalities were reported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir keeping the death toll at 15 while number of coronavirus cases have reached 769 according to the Government of Pakistan’s COVID-19 Dashboard.
