KARACHI: The solar eclipse termed as the ‘Ring of Fire” eclipse will be visible in some cities across Pakistan according to to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
This is an annular solar eclipse where the moon is not close enough to the earth while passing between the sun and the eartch leaving what looks like a ‘ring of fire’ or a solar disc visible.

According to the statement by the Pakistan Meteorological Department Climate Data Processing Center the eclipse will begin at 8:46am Pakistan local time and end at 2:34pm with the eclipse being at its peak around 11:40am.
People from Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Gilgit, Gwadar, Muzaffarabad will be able to partially see the eclipse however those in Sukkur will be able to see the annular solar eclipse in its full form covering 98.78 percent of the sun.
The solar eclipse will be visible in parts of Africa and other Asian countries too including India and China as well.
