Coronavirus cases in Pakistan – Update [21 June 2020]

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 180,806 while the country’s death toll has reached 3,586‬. There were 4,582 more cases reported on Sunday (21 June 2020) along with a total of 90 more fatalities from across the country.

Sindh reported 41 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by the Provincial Health and Population Welfare Department. This brings the provincial death toll to 1,089 while total cases in Sindh have reached 69,628.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported 13 more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 821 while total cases in the province have reached 21,997 according to their daily COVID-19 update.

Punjab reported 28 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by the Primary Healthcare Department. This brings the provincial death toll to 1,435 while the number of cases reach 66,943.

Balochistan reported two new fatalities bringing the confirmed provincial death toll to 102 while the probable death toll has remains at 71. The number of cases in the province have reached 9,475 according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Balochistan Health Department.

Islamabad reported three new fatalities according to the District Health Office Islamabad. The death toll of the capital city reaches 98 while number of cases have reached 10,662. The following is the distribution of cases across Islamabad.

Gilgit Baltistan reported one new fatality according to the Daily Situation Reported issued by the GB Health Department. This brings the regional death toll to 22. Furthermore, the total positive cases in the region have reached 1,288.

Two new fatalities were reported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir bringing the death toll to 19 while number of coronavirus cases have reached 813 according to the Government of Pakistan’s COVID-19 Dashboard.
