KARACHI: Four armed militant killed including in Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) attack this morning in Karachi. Four security guards and a police sub inspector lost their lives in the incident.
According to the reports, four armed militants arrived at PSX compound in a vehicle and attempted to enter PSX parking ground carrying bag packs and automatic weapons according to eye witnesses.
The terrorists when failing to enter the compound turned to a heavy armed assault including grenade attack in an attempt to storm the building but they were gunned down before they could succeed although four security guards and a police offer lay down their lives to stop the these attackers.

The area was later sealed off by authorities and the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) was evacuated. Several people were injured in the incident including a police personnel who were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Statement regarding PSX Attack by DG Rangers:
According to Major General Omer Ahmed Bokhari of the DG Rangers the militants planned on entering the building and carry out violance including hold people hostage.
These terrorists came prepared with weapons, grenades rocket launchers and were probably planning to hold down the PSX as they were also carrying food and water.
However, the matter attack was averted within eight minutes according to the combined effort of the police, rangers and the PSX secuirty guards. The terrorits carried out their attack at 10:02am and were all taken down by 10:00am.
According to the DG Rangers, the matter is now under investigation as to the identities of the attackers and after finding them out they will be investigated further.
DG rangers also noted that this was an attempt to destroy Pakistan’s economic activity and make it seem to the entire world that Pakistan was unsafe.
Major General Bokhari also added that this was the work of a hostile terrorist agency and RAW is on the top of the list.
Governor Sindh Condemns PSX Attack
Strongly condemn the attack on PSX aimed at tarnishing our relentless war on terror. Have instructed the IG & security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are caught alive & their handlers are accorded exemplary punishments. We shall protect Sindh at all costs.
Many people in the area filmed the incident and shared it on social media including statements of those police personnel involved and help avert the attack.
UPDATE: According to sources so far one of the terrorists has been identified as Salman and the vehicle used in the attack was registered on his father’s name.
