Ventura County Sheriff Department has confirmed that the body found at Lake Piru has been identified as missing Glee star Naya Rivera.
Earlier search teams found a body at the lake in California using sonar equipment but no further details were disclosed at the time. However at a press conference Sheriff Bill Ayub has confirmed that the body found has been identified as the missing actress Naya Rivera.
It was also confirmed that there was no indication of foul play and she did not take her own life. However an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
The Glee actress went missing a few days ago after she rented a boat with her four year old son. According to her, Rivera went into the water for a swim but did not return.
Search and rescue operations were started immediately but the search for Naya Rivera continued for a few days till today when divers were able to find her body using sonar and other equipment.
