Karachi Transporters protest against the ban on inter-city bus service

KARACHI: Karachi transporters continue their protest against the ban on inter-city bus services, the protesters have blocked superhighway.

The PTI lawmaker and FixIt founder Alamghir Khan have also joined the protest.

The Karachi Transporters have blocked Super Highway and have blocked both roads of M9 and are closed for traffic. However, the superhighway was opened after an hour-long of protest.

They have pointed out that due to long prevailing lockdown, the transporters and workers are facing very difficult situation and have said they will continue with their protest until their demands are met.

Sindh Transport Minister Syed Awais Shah had said earlier on April 30, that the ban will not be lifted until countrywide lock down was lifted.

The transporters have cooperated and followed the ban on inter-city ban, however due to prolonged ban the workers are facing hardships. According to them their workers have reached the point of starvation.
