According to the report, the hackers tweeted from 45 of these accounts while accessing the Direct Message (DM) inbox of 36 and downloading data of just seven accounts.

Although the company claims that these tools and processes are constantly being updated and improved, they have limited access to the internal tools and system following the Twitter hack on 15 July and as a result their response time to some support needs will be slower.

The Twitter hack targeted accounts of high profile politicians, businessmen and celebrities with bogus Tweets sent from their accounts offering to double the amount of Bitcoin sent to a particular address. According to sources, these hackers were able to gain over $113,500 from the online crypto scam.
