Punjab ends lockdown with exception of schools & marriage halls

LAHORE: Government of Punjab has given directives to end the coronavirus lockdown in place since March according to a notification issued by the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department.

As the Government of Punjab ends the coronavirus lockdown, all sectors are allowed to operate normally from today (August 10, 2020) with strict implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

However, restrictions still apply on all educational institutions and marriage halls / marquees which will continue to remain closed until further notice.

Religious congregations will be allowed after approval of concerned administration and strict implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines issued by the government.

Furthermore, restrictions on business timings in Punjab have also been lifted and reverted back as they were before COVID-19. On the other hand, public transport services have also been allowed to operate normally without restrictions subject to implementation of SOPs.
