According to Education Minister Saeed Ghani, the final decision to re-open educational institutions will be made by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) during the first week of September depending on the coronavirus situation.

However, Ghani says that the Sindh Government is prepared to re-open schools earlier if Federal Government orders them to do so since educational institutions have been issued standard operating procedures (SOPs).

It is pertinent to mention that schools in Pakistan have been closed since late March when the lockdown was imposed in the country to prevent and contain the spread of the coronavirus.
